The WORKCARE Services portfolio spans the Workplace Injury
Prevention and Management Services. Our business commenced by
offering specialist medical services to individual and group
athletes at sporting arenas and events. With the use of our
Emergency Medical Response Unit, which consisted of one (1)
Medical Centre, a Doctor, Ambulance,
two (2) medics and a handful
of resources at the time, our services catered for large sporting
events e.g. Sydney Marathons, Triathlons and related sporting
events. Initially, our business began on the basis of what we
believed our market ‘wanted’, a good idea so to speak and like
most entrepreneurs, our endeavours were part ‘want’ and part
‘need’.
The infrequency of these sporting events saw our business plan and
strategies limited to their full potential. Growth in our business
or chosen industry was directly related to seasonal events and
sporting activities. Therefore, we began to realise that our
business would eventually suffer due to these circumstances.

WHO STARTED
WORKCARE...Us or You?
The greatest sense of pride and re-generation in our business and
our belief came when during a low-point and close to total failure
in our history, a supervisor from a large Australian icon in the
steel manufacturing industry walked into our Medical Centre with
an injured worker and asked if our Doctor could treat his worker.
He complained that he had taken the injured worker to the
hospital, as he always did, and had been waiting for 5 hours. He
asked if he could bring his injured workers’ to our facility in
the future, as he was very happy with our service. That day,
changed the face of history in injury management services offered
in society, directed purely by need within the market-place
by YOU!
The injured worker treated on that day needed to return to see our
doctor for subsequent treatment and consultation. The supervisor
noticed our Ambulance and asked if we could pick up his injured
worker for the appointment from his work-site and that he was
willing to pay if we offered a shuttle system. This was without a
doubt the birth of WORKCARE Medical. Our birth was the
direct result of one customers ‘need’ and continues to service
that organisation today, along with over 1500 different
small, medium and large companies with the same need, with pride
and integrity.

As the name WORKCARE suggests, today we offer our services
exclusively in the area of work-place injury prevention and
management. Our specialist services comprise of 24Hour Client
Site Emergency Medical Response, Courtesy Shuttle (subsequent
visit transport), WorkCover Authorised
Practitioners and Rehabilitation
Providers, Injury Management, Occupational Rehabilitation,
Physical Therapies, Specialist Surgeons, Optometry, First Aid
Training and Education, Vaccination and Immunisation and Injury
Medical and Management Software Solutions. We are also affiliated
with some of the best Private Hospitals in
Sydney.
